Wolfsberg - Historical Path
Attention: currently the section from the Mausoleum to Wolfsberg Barracks is closed!!!!!
Start the circular route at Rathausplatz - continue into Schwemmtrattenstraße to Judenstein - back over the yellow bridge into Stadthammerstraße, turn left into Wienerstraße to the Holy Trinity Church - along the street to Weiherplatz, on the right side is the district administration, on the left side is the Florianibrunnen - back on Wienerstraße to Hotel Hecher, turn right into Sporergasse - along Sporergasse to Burgergasse, turn right into Bambergerstraße where on the left is the Fleischbrücke - over the Fleischbrücke up to Hohenplatz, on the right is the Old Post Office, on the left the Plague Column, continue to Getreidemarkt. At Getreidemarkt you arrive at the Old Fire House, opposite is the Bamberghaus and the Reckturm. From Bamberghaus, over the bridge on the left you reach Schloßstraße, along the street on the left side is the Paurische Haus. Following the street you reach Schloß Wolfsberg and the Mausoleum (signposted). We go back to Hohenplatz, cross Johann Offnerstraße and come to Markusplatz. There is the Markuskirche and the Bäckerkapelle. At Markuskirche, down the stairs is the Bürgerschule. We return to Johann Offnerstraße, turn right and go along Johann Offnerstraße, on the left side is Minoritenplatz, where the former Minorite Monastery (today Stadtgalerie) is located, back from Minorite Monastery to Johann Offnerstraße, turn left along the street on the right side are the Lobisser frescoes. Continue Johann Offnerstraße to Alois-Huthstraße, on the left is Villa Huth, on the right the former Capuchin monastery and the Swentzl-Stöckl. Continue along Alois-Huthstraße to the roundabout into Klagenfurterstraße, on the left are Stadtpark, the war memorial, and the cemetery chapel. Back on Klagenfurterstraße to the roundabout, on the left is the municipal kindergarten, after the kindergarten you are in Spanheimerstraße. Before Lavantbrücke, turn right to Lavantkai. At the playground on the right is the district court. At the district court, left over the Radlstegbrücke and left into Lienhardallee, there is Schloß Bayerhofen. We are on Bayerhofenstraße and head towards the center to Herrengasse where on the right side is the Schmirgerhaus.
