Wolfsberg. Bürgerschule
Schon im Mittelalter gab es in Wolfsberg eine Lateinschule. Mit der Einführung der Schulpflicht durch Maria Theresia im Jahr 1774 wurde eine Schule gegründet, die für alle Mädchen und Burschen von 6 bis 12 Jahren offen war.
Das Gebäude, vor dem Sie nun stehen, ist aus dem Jahr 1898 und hat, wie auch das Rathaus, eine Fassade im Stil der Neorenaissance. Der Platz wurde jedoch bald eng und seit 1980 sind mehrere Schulen in das großzügige Gelände des Bundeschulzentrums umgezogen. Seit 1985 sind in diesem Gebäude zahlreiche Vereine und die Musikschule zu Hause. Etwa 800 Schüler werden hier von 35 Lehrkräften betreut.
