Beyond the mountains, beyond the valleys, in the places where fairy tales were written and legends were told, lies the Banská Bystrica region. A land full of mysterious corners, with many places waiting to be discovered. Its eight unique regions beckon you to adventure in the ancient mountains or wander through vast plains and picturesque valleys. It also offers peaceful places in orchards, vineyards, or on the meadows and hillsides to slow down and savour the moments of life.
Beyond the mountains, beyond the valleys is the mark of the Banská Bystrica Region as a tourist destination. It represents and connects 8 regions in the region, each of them unique and attractive in something else. These regions are Gemer, Horehronie, Central Slovakia, Hont and Dudince, Novohrad, Podpoľanie, Gron Region and Banská Štiavnica Region.
Beyond the mountains, beyond the valleys is based on a fairy tale and symbolises slowing down, returning to tradition but also experience and adventure.
