From Liptovské Revúce to Ploská, the chalet under Borišov, and back
An attractive route from Liptovské Revúce to the ridge of the Veľká Fatra - to Ploská and the chalet under Borišov. The ascent is interesting from the first meters, the section through Ploská offers many views.
I park in Vyšná Revúca at the paid parking lot in front of the inn, where I also pay the fee. I move one to two hundred meters down to the chapel where the yellow trail starts. It is early September. About a month ago I looked at the places I am now stepping on from the summit of Končitá. I look for it, but see only clouds. I walk along a gentle ridge covered with meadows called Nižnie Mogury on the map and later also Vyšnie Mogury. Their originality is taken away by a tourist sign that turns them into Magury – and there are indeed many Magury in Slovakia. These are beautiful meadows, the meadows of the Veľká Fatra. They call me to walk through these wide ridges where it smells so wonderfully and from which there is a wide view far and wide. With joy in my heart, I climb up towards Ploská. Its summit is not even really a summit, everything here is so 'flat.' It starts to drizzle lightly. On the descent to the chalet under Borišov, Ploská shows its second, steep face. The path winds in switchbacks leading me to a small saddle, from which it is only a short distance to the chalet. I order mountain tea and excellent bryndza dumplings. When I leave, the chalet keeper plays several songs on a flute sounding like a fujara for me as a farewell in front of the chalet. I bypass Ploská by traversing on the blue trail towards Chyžky. A few more beautiful meadows, a view of sheepfolds with sheep, and then only a descent down a steep rocky path into Zelená dolina, along which I march back to the inn.
Author’s recommendation
While walking on the asphalt through Zelená dolina, I missed Mogury. Returning on the same route you started the route with is therefore not a bad idea at all :).

Equipment
I recommend sturdy footwear for this route. In case of suspected rain - checking the weather forecast before the route is a must - take not only a waterproof rain jacket but also expect similar pants. I underestimated this fact myself and although I was completely dry at the top, my pants were wet. Not only from the rain but also from wet meadow grasses.
