Insgesamt sehr wenig Schnee. Größere Abschnitte auf dem oberen Pasterzenboden sind aper, ebenso gibt es an den Hängen des Johannisberges große apere Zonen. Der Normalweg verläuft daher derzeit nicht direkt auf den Gipfel, sondern quert im weichen Firn die Südhänge unterhalb des Gipfels zum SW-Grat. Auf diesem zuletzt über Schutt schneefrei zum Gipfel.

Insgesamt extrem wenig Schnee. Aufstieg zum Gr. Wiesbachhorn komplett schnee- und eisfrei. In die Wielingerscharte kurz auf flachem, aperen Gletscher. Aufstieg von dort auf den hinteren Bratschenkopf ebenfalls schneefrei, unten über Geröll (etwas mühsam, anfangs Pfadspur nur undeutlich), zuletzt auch apere Felsen am Grat. Jenseitig aper bis kurz vor die Scharte zwischen hinterem Bratschenkopf und Klockerin, dann auf Firn den Hang zur Kockerin aufwärts. Da der Hang ostseitig ausgerichtet ist, wird er schnell weich, es empfiehlt sich deswegen ein früher Aufbruch im Schwaiger Haus. An ersten Stellen beginnt der Hang bereits blank zu werden, für einige Zeit sollte aber ein Aufstieg im Firm noch möglich sein. jenseitig aper und problemlos hinab bis in die Gruberscharte. Ab dort zunächst aper, dann im Firn auf dem östl. Bärenkopfkees in eine deutliche Abflachung im NW-Sporn des Gr. Bärenkopfes. Jenseitig eine blockige Rinne Steil hinab (Abklettern, I) auf das westl. Bärenkopfkees, auf diesem anfangs aper, dann im weichen Firn mühsam aufwärts in die Keilscharte (Vorsicht: einige Gletscherspalten unter dünner Schneeauflage!). Von der Keilscharte auf gut ausgeprägten Pfad schneefrei auf den mittleren Bärenkopf und jenseitig größtenteils schneefrei (eine kurze Querung eines harmlosen Firnfeldes) abwärts zur Oberwalderhütte. Der direkte Abstieg von der Keilscharte zur Oberwalderhütte ist wegen des Felssturzes gesperrt.

Zustieg auf dem Teischnitzkees größtenteils aper, in den kurzen Passagen mit dünner Restfirn Auflage trotzdem noch Spaltensturzgefahr. Der Grat selbst ist komplett schnee- und eisfrei und trocken, daher aktuell sehr gute Bedingungen. Das Topo der Tourenbeschreibung stellt den Routenverlauf sehr gut dar. Abstieg auf dem Normalweg ebenfalls aper, in der Rinne des ehemaligen Glocknerleitls kein Schnee oder Eis. Taue helfen das letzte Stück hinunter auf den steilen aperen Gletscher. Um dort sicher stehen zu können, empfiehlt es sich bereits im Fels darüber die Steigeisen anzuziehen und die letzten Meter mit Steigeisen abzuklettern. Im Eis kurz steil hinab, wobei von den Bergführern geschlagene Stufen und Pfad den Abstieg erleichtern.
