Die Hütte ist Teil der Kampagne Mit Kindern auf Hütten, eine Initiative der Alpenvereine in Deutschland, Österreich und Südtirol für familienfreundliche Hütten. Sie eignet sich für Kinder ab 3 bis 4 Jahren und älter. Als Erlebnisbereiche für Kinder gibt es im unmittelbaren Hüttenumfeld Wiesen und Almbäche zum Spielen.
