Auf der Wasserfallalm kann der Besucher Almidylle erleben ohne weite Aufstiegswege, denn die Alm befindet sich gleich am Anfang des beliebten Königsweges in der Nähe der Jennerbahn Mittelstation.
Niederalm im Jennergebiet
An den Westhängen nördlich des Jenners liegt die Wasserfallalm auf 1.237 Meter ü. NN. Sie ist von der Mittelstation der Jennerbahn auf einem Forstweg sehr gut zu erreichen. Oder man steigt vom Königssee über die sogenannte Hochbahn auf. Der westliche Teil der Wasserfallalm ist bei den Einheimischen auch unter dem Namen Strubalm bekannt. Die Wasserfallalm ist die erste Station am sogenannten Königsweg, der in seinem weiteren Verlauf mehrere Almen im Gebiet des Jenner und des Königssees erschließt, zum Beispiel die Königsbachalm mit der gleichnamigen Berggaststätte!
