The Jenner can be considered one of the central hiking peaks in the Berchtesgadener Land, as it offers a convenient ascent aid with its cable car and from both the middle and the summit stations, numerous comfortable hiking trails branch off. From its summit, a magnificent panorama unfolds – far below the Königssee, above are the rocky formations of the Steinernes Meer, and at its end, the snow-glossy Hochkönig with the Übergossene Alm.
From the parking lot in Hinterbrand, the path leads left through the forest, slightly ascending, until it meets the road to the Jenner cable car middle station. About 400 m before the station, a narrow path leads steeply up through alpine meadows and merges above the end of the drag lift onto a road; this leads around the Vogelstein and soon meets the serviced Mitterkaseralm. You leave the alm on the left and walk right over a stepped path up to the ridge that connects the Jenner with the Pfaffenkegel. It is then 15 minutes to the right up to the Jenner cable car summit station. From there, a wide path leads westwards up to the viewing platform and the summit of the Jenner, 1874 m. Afterwards, from the Jenner cable car summit station, follow the steep path down the right side past the Königsbergalm to a farm road, then turn right downhill towards the Königsbachalms. At the junction, turn right downhill – the alms remain on the left – and then continue slightly ascending northwest. On
