From the Königssee car park via the Jennerbahn valley station, Hochbahnweg, Königsbachalm, continuing along the Königsweg towards the Jenner summit. The ascent to Königsbachalm goes through a shady, ascending coniferous forest with a short view of Königssee. Passing by Königsbachalm and turning left towards Jenner middle station along Königsweg until shortly before the Dr. Hugo-Beck-Haus. Turning right, the hiking trail leads to the Mitterkaseralm with a seasonal refreshment option.

Coming from Berchtesgaden main station towards Königssee: Leave the roundabout at Berchtesgaden station at the signposted exit to Königssee. Then follow Königsseer Straße straight ahead to the large car park.

From Schönau am Königssee: Follow the signs towards Königssee, pass the outdoor pool on the left and continue along the road. The entrance to the large car park is located between the petrol station and McDonald's.
