The Königsbachalm circuit combines the two paths leading from Hinterbrand to Königsbachalm. In the first part, we use the Gotzen forest road, which leads past the scenic snowmaking pond, from which there is a spectacular view down into the valley and of the Watzmann massif. We continue on the wide forest road and climb 125 m to the managed Königsbachalm, 1190 m. Behind the alpine pasture awaits a final ascent, where we climb on the left ascending driving path over the alpine meadows up to just below a steep section.
