Vorarlberg offers a large selection of extremely varied alpine climbing routes. There are short multi-pitch routes, but also routes through high walls. The types of rock found in Vorarlberg are mainly limestone and gneiss (Silvretta and Verwall). The protection is mostly alpine. However, there are now also well to very well protected climbs, for example around the Biberacher and Ravensburger huts. Alpine classics can be found, for example, at the Red Wall, Kanisfluh, Sulzfluh, and Patteriol. The traverse of the Vorarlberg Matterhorn, the Zimba (near the Heinrich Hüter Hut), is definitely part of a climbing holiday.

A very scenic and easy alpine climbing route on mostly solid, rough limestone. The start and descent are however brittle. The turquoise reservoir provides a beautiful backdrop. The route is not often done, but spectators from the busy lake circuit trail are certain. Intermediate protection and belays mostly have to be placed by oneself; only a few NHs are fixed.
