Great Walser path (Widderstein north face) + east ridge
The route offers 14 pitches over 300 climbing meters and leads in a logical line through the dark-appearing north face of the Widderstein. The climbing is beautiful and varied and leads over slabs, traverses, corners, and positive wall steps. The route was perfectly bolted by the pioneer (Peter Schwarzmann). Belay stations were mostly established on comfortable ledges. The many bolts make orientation easy and one is always well protected. Mostly climbing in difficulty grades 4 and 5, two pitches reach the upper 6th grade. These sections can also be overcome with aid climbing. The route ends at the east ridge. From there you continue over the east ridge (III to IV, approx. 100 m) to the summit of Widderstein. On the east ridge, protection must be provided with slings and cams by yourself.
