Es waren die Gletscher, die vor Jahrmillionen die Landschaft des Allgäus geformt haben und die beim Abschmelzen des Eises dieses einmalige Zusammenspiel von sanften Hügeln, geheimnisvollen Tälern, Mooren und Seen, bewacht von den schroffen Alpengipfeln, zurückließen. Und es war ein König, der sich von eben dieser Landschaft verzaubern ließ, um hier seine Vision eines märchenhaften Schlosses Wirklichkeit werden zu lassen.
Der weite Blick vom weltberühmten Schloss Neuschwanstein offenbart die ganze Vielfalt und Schönheit dieser Landschaft und schafft die perfekte Illusion eines weitläufigen Schlossparks. Mit den imposanten Berggipfeln im Rücken, die als des Schlosses Alpen eine majestätische Kulisse vor den königlichen Logenplätzen mit ihren vielfältigen Ausblicken bilden, bis sich das Bild am Horizont mit seinen Wiesen, Mooren und Wäldern in einen Raum der Idylle verwandelt. Mit zauberhaften und historischen Städten, verträumten Dörfern und Weilern, mit den großen und kleinen Seen, die wie übergroße Schlossteiche das Bild prägen, mit kraftvollen Flüssen und sprudelnden Bächen – hier öffnet sich eine Landschaft wie aus dem Märchen. Und wie in einem Märchenbuch lassen sich in jedem Ort, Kapitel für Kapitel, die kleinen und großen Geschichten, die Sagen und Mythen entdecken, erfahren und erleben. Als Wanderer und als Radler, als Ausflügler oder als Urlauber – der Zauber dieser Landschaft, das erhabene Gefühl des Besonderen ist in jedem Teil des Schlossparks spürbar und greifbar.
Info: Der Schlosspark Allgäu ist einer von insgesamt neun Erlebnisräumen, in die sich das Allgäu gliedert. Deckungsgleich mit dem Landkreis Ostallgäu erstreckt sich der Schlosspark von den Königsschlössern im Süden mit dem berühmten Märchenschloss König Ludwigs II. bis zur mittelalterlichen Stadt Kaufbeuren und Buchloe im Norden, von einer imposanten Gebirgslandschaft über königliche Logenplätze bis zu Orten der Idylle.
