The hike starts from the forest rope park Höllschlucht through the adventurous gorge. The hiking trail passes by waterfalls in the so-called "Höllschlucht", continues to the "Devil's Kitchen", and finally through Allgäu mountain forest. After about 400 meters of elevation gain, you leave the forest and enter the alpine meadows of Kappeler Alp. Now it's only a few meters to the popular mountain hut for a stop.

    Author’s recommendation

Right at the entrance to the Höllschlucht is the forest rope park Höllschlucht. Those who wish can climb in the forest rope park here, shoot at 3D targets on an archery course, or visit the nearby playground "Räubernest".

    Safety information

In wet weather, the path is slippery in places. Therefore, the path through the Höllschlucht is better suited for the ascent.

    Roadbook

Starting at the hiking car park in Pfronten-Kappel, the path first leads you past the forest rope park "Höllschlucht", which gets its name from the wild gorge. After entering the Höllschlucht, follow the hiking trails upwards towards Kappeler Alp. For the return journey, you can then take the forest path back to Pfronten-Kappel. Alternatively, you can choose the meadow path to get back to the valley. To reach the meadow path, walk back 200 meters from Kappeler Alp towards Höllschlucht and then turn left onto the meadow path. Please note: the meadow path runs on wooden boards through marshy terrain in the upper part.

Nein.
