Forggensee-Runde (Lake Forggensee Circuit Tour)
Enjoy the bike route around the popular Forggensee with views of the Allgäu pre-Alpine landscape.
If you cycle clockwise from the Füssen boot harbor past the Festspielhaus, you will also pass numerous beautiful swimming spots. From the dam, a detour to the nearby information center in the Roßhaupten hydropower plant is possible. For the best mountain view, stop at the Panoramastadel shortly before the Illasbergsee. The Waltenhofen parish church is one of the region’s oldest churches and is a cultural highlight of the route.
Author’s recommendation
If you get tired along the way, you can switch with your bike at eight stops to the Forggensee round-trip boats (season: early June to mid-October).
