Der Rhein im Westen, die Schwarzwaldhöhen im Osten und dazwischen die sanften Hügel der Weinberge – so vielseitig präsentiert sich die Ferienregion Bühl-Bühlertal-Ottersweier. Bühl mit seiner lebhaften Innenstadt, der Fußgängerzone mit zahlreichen Geschäften und Cafés sowie Bühlertal, die Talgemeinde mit idyllischen Seitentälern am Fuße der Schwarzwaldberge, bieten Kultur und Natur in enger Verbindung. Bühl, Bühlertal und Ottersweier liegen in der Nationalparkregion Schwarzwald und sind Portalgemeinden des Naturparks Schwarzwald Mitte/Nord.
Wandern wird groß geschrieben in der Ferienregion Bühl-Bühlertal-Ottersweier: Panorama-Rundwege, Gipfeltouren, Lehrpfade und Abenteuer-Rundwanderungen für die ganze Familie – bei 800 Metern Höhenunterschied gibt es viele Möglichkeiten von gemütlichen Spaziergängen bis zu ausgedehnten Tagestouren. Nicht verpassen sollte man die wild-romantischen Gertelbach-Wasserfälle, die es über kleine Stege zu erkunden gilt, und die Kappler Genusstour zur Burg Windeck. Die Burgruine, von deren Turm sich – wie von vielen Aussichtspunkten in der Ferienregion – eine herrliche Aussicht über das Rheintal bis ins nahe Elsass bietet, ist ein beliebtes Ziel für die ganze Familie. Und mit dem Westweg nahe der Schwarzwaldhochstraße und dem Ortenauer Weinpfad führen zwei beliebte Fernwanderwege durch die Region. Ebenes Radlerland lockt zu Entdeckungen auf beiden Seiten des Rheins. Die Hofladen-Radtour, der Rheintal-Radweg und der Naturpark-Radweg führen mitten hinein. Eher sportlich geprägt sind die Touren für Mountainbiker durch die Weinberge und Richtung Schwarzwaldhochstraße.
Nach einem erlebnisreichen Tag erwarten die Gäste in exzellente Restaurants, traditionellen Gasthöfen und urigen Höhengasthäusern badische Spezialitäten und edle Weine aus der Region. Diese gibt es auch bei zahlreichen Festen rund ums Jahr zu kosten. Höhepunkte im Veranstaltungskalender der Ferienregion Bühl-Bühlertal-Ottersweier sind dabei das Bühler Zwetschgenfest, die Bühlertäler Weinwochen mit Weinwandertag sowie verschiedene Musik- und Weinfeste.
