The stalking, puzzle, barefoot, and wooden sculpture trail of the WaldErlebnisStation allow an intensive engagement with the forest ecosystem and the discovery of its biological diversity.
Puzzle trail - Tracking the forest habitat
Who nibbled on the spruce cones - mouse, woodpecker, or squirrel? How much water does the "Hirschquelle" spring scoop per hour and where does the charcoal in the forest soil come from? Those who equip themselves with a questionnaire at the beginning of the puzzle trail can take the forest master exam. For this, at least 12 correct answers must be checked off at 16 stations. And at the end, the mysterious solution machine awaits…Questionnaires are available at the WaldErlebnisStation. The approximately 2-kilometer-long puzzle trail can be walked in about 1.5 hours with normal footwear.
Barefoot trail - No fear of dirty feet
At the end of the puzzle trail, you have to take off shoes and socks! Let moss, leaf litter, and fir needles massage your soles with your eyes closed. The "dirty feet" are quickly cleaned again with the clear spring water from the trough at the WaldErlebnisStation.
Stalking trail - On silent soles to the animals of the forest
Forest animals are normally very shy, and you have to be very quiet to observe a wild boar or a fox. And a bit of luck is naturally also needed! On the stalking trail, this is easier. On the approximately 500-meter circular trail, 11 animals are hidden and waiting to be discovered. Still, small and large forest visitors should move as quietly and carefully as possible along the trail so as not to overlook any of the animals. The stalking trail can be walked in about half an hour with normal footwear.
