Monument erected by the Black Forest Association in 1991. Sculptor Karl Link carved a larger-than-life relief of a medieval pilgrim from an oversized boulder, who, after worshipping St James the Elder in Santiago de Compostela, Spain, is making his way back home. The artist created the conceptual link to the Black Forest Association by having the pilgrim walk across a band of diamonds, the symbol of the Black Forest Association.
