Farkasmály megállóhely a 24-es főút mellett található, mindkét oldalról szőlőültetvényekkel körülvéve. Az andezittufába vájt közeli pincesor a Sár-hegy lábánál Gyöngyös egykori vigalmi negyede volt, és ma is számos borospince várja itt a látogatókat, illetve egy fedett gokartpálya is van a közelben. Farkasmályon áthalad a sárga szőlő jelzésű turistaút is, amely Gyöngyöst és Mátrafüredet köti össze a Sár-hegyen és a Pipis-hegyen keresztül.
