Roadbook
From the starting point, follow the "K-2" route through the Katharinental, passing the fence separating the sites of the former mines "Katharina I and II." At the fork with the right-turning "K-2", go straight ahead and turn left at the next opportunity. At the next fork, take the middle path to the "Dicke Eiche" and from there follow the path with the green-yellow marking to the Kronbuche hiking car park. Turn left over the K 37 and take a break at Falkensteiner Hof with a very nice view into the Falkenstein valley.

The "Blue Dot" continues downhill into the forest to the next right fork, which is followed to the left downhill turn of the "Palatinate High Trail." Passing the Elsenbrünnchen through the Schweinstal, at the "Theodorschacht" leave the Palatinate High Trail straight ahead and follow the forest management road around the mountain until a left turn just before a forest pond leads back to the starting car park.

In a list "Informative Directory of Cultural Monuments," the General Directorate for Cultural Heritage has recorded known cultural monuments for Donnersbergkreis and thus also for the Winnweiler collective municipality area in all villages. A look into this reveals interesting information:

The website of the "Mining Adventure World Imsbach" is very informative and explains the background of the region's former mining history.
At the Palatinate Mining Museum and in the two visitor mines "Weiße Grube" and "Grube Maria" in the former mining village of Imsbach, you can marvel at the diversity of mineral resources in this region. The three mining history circular trails "Eisenweg", "Kupferweg I" and "Kupferweg II" with numerous info boards about the mining past of the community can be explored all year round on your own or on guided tours.
