Enjoy the great view over the Kaiserstraßensenke from the Münchweiler Hohlsteinhütte with a cool Riesling spritzer and Palatinate home cooking!
Every two years (last in 2019) a 10-day charcoal kiln festival takes place at the Dippelanlage in the Sippersfeld forest, organized by the "Freie Wählergruppe Sippersfeld e.V." and the "Pfrimmtal-Touristik e.V." from Sippersfeld.
Think about wind turbines in exposed locations in our forest and beautiful nature, the impact on fauna and flora, and the relationship between industry and nature!
Check out the other interesting circular hikes in the Winnweiler collective municipality area (see details), created by the local groups Winnweiler, Imsbach, Steinbach, and Münchweiler a.d. Alsenz in the Palatinate Forest Club as well as Andreas Fischer from Falkenstein in cooperation with the VG tourism office.

Roadbook
At the starting point Community Center in Münchweiler a.d. Alsenz, the railway bridge is crossed and then a short train stop feeder at Seiderstraße is turned left. The paved field path is followed over a slight rise to the "tri-border area" (Münchweiler/Alsenbrück-Langmeil/Gonbach near the Hinterberg district) with a beautiful view of the Donnersberg. It continues to the right towards Gonbach to a meadow field path after about 30 m, which is turned left into. At the end of the field, go past this on the right to a crossing over the Gonbach on the left-hand side, which is crossed. Then straight across the meadow to the forest edge and follow this to the left, straight across a small meadow section and then right to K 39, which is crossed towards Sippersfeld. After crossing, go half-left onto a forest path, which is followed along the slope of the Bocksrück to the junction on the right with the marking "White Cross". Follow this marking further up the slope, past the former US munitions depot Börrstadt, until the plateau between the first two wind turbines is reached. The marking is then left; go straight ahead, leaving the first wind turbine on the right. The path leads through the forest covered with cuckoo flowers in April to a rest area at a "Big Oak" with a view towards the Kaiserstraßensenke near Langmeil and Winnweiler. From there, go back a few meters to the first turning on the right; follow the path to the rest area "Dippelanlage" next to the previously crossed K 39 with a good opportunity to enjoy a packed lunch.
Every two years - last in 2019 - a multi-day charcoal kiln festival takes place there, which is worth a visit:

Then proceed a few meters right past the shelter of the facility on a forest path that turns left to K 40; this is crossed and the forest path is followed up the slope. At the first tree next to the road there is a wooden signpost to Gonbach. Follow the forest path to a larger crossroads; to the right on a tree shortly before this point is a wooden signpost back to the Dippelanlage. Turn right onto the path and follow it to the facility of the "Youth and Leisure Club Gonbach e.V." Along the way, you first pass a wooden sign with the name "Upper Kippenweg" and then a sign for the "JFCG" and the Kneipp facility Gonbach.
Youth and Leisure Club Gonbach
Follow the bridge path from the "JFCG" parking lot to the main road; just before, the worth seeing and well-maintained Kneipp facility of the Gonbach community is passed.

After a few meters on the main road, first turn left into Hohlstraße and then immediately into the street "Am Perlenberg." Follow this to the edge of town. Behind the last houses, continue a few meters straight uphill, then first turn right and then left, following the path each time. Cross a wood storage area until at the next crossing "field path" (with white-blue hiking marking) at the forest edge turn right into it. Follow this marking to the starting point at the Münchweiler train stop. First, pass the Hohlsteinhütte of the Palatinate Forest Club Münchweiler managed at set times on the ridge in the forest with its incomparable view of the town and the Kaiserstraßensenke.
