Saarland cycle route "Stage 7 From Überherrn to Saarbrücken"

Then it slowly gets livelier: You reach Völklingen, where the cycle route meets the Saar again. The sight of the UNESCO World Heritage Site Völklinger Hütte is impressive. Here you can gain deep insights in the dark corridors of the gigantic industrial site and enjoy wide views from the observation platform of the blast furnace, learning all about the eventful history of the former ironworks. From here, it is not far to the stage destination Saarbrücken, which also marks the end of our ride on the Saarland cycle route. The ride there is pure enjoyment, as you cycle along a path directly on the banks of the Saar. In Saarbrücken, the circle closes. Over seven stages, you have traveled through Saarland and experienced all its facets. Now you have returned to the starting point of the route. The beautiful parks or the many cozy old town cafés of the state capital invite you to rest and to quietly reflect on the last few days before you begin your journey home.
