THE DIGITAL LANDSCAPE MODEL FROM THE BEV
2023 áprilisa óta Ausztriában a teljes térképészeti tevékenységünket a BEV által kifejlesztett digitális terepmodellre (DLM) állítottuk át.
A DLM is a digital model of reality in which natural and artificial objects are recorded as vector data. In addition to being located by coordinates, these measurement data are further described by names and attributes.
In Austria, this data is maintained uniformly and completely nationwide in a central database by the BEV and made available in regular update cycles.
The digital elevation model - DEM
In Austria we use a terrain model that describes the earth's surface with a resolution of 10m. The contour lines, the shading and the slope for the Outdooractive Map in Austria are derived from this data.
This terrain model is also used to calculate the route duration and altitude when planning with the route planner.
