This route is a stage of Section ST3 of the Sultans Trail, an international long-distance hiking trail from Vienna to Istanbul. The hiking route follows historic roads through eight countries (Austria, Slovakia, Hungary, Croatia, Serbia, Bulgaria, Greece and Turkey), linking towns and villages in a traditional cultural and historic landscape.
The route passes Százhalombatta and Martonvásár before arriving at Tordas.

Leaving Érd-Ófalu, the trail climbs onto the loess plateau above the Danube. At Százhalombatta, burial mounds rise across the landscape; one is accessible at the archaeological park, and finds from the site are exhibited in the Matrica Museum. The nearby bridge over the Benta stream and the stunning church of St Stephen stand in the modern town below.
Turning away from the Danube, the route crosses open farmland toward Martonvásár. Here stands the Brunszvik Castle, often visited by Beethoven, surrounded by a landscaped park, and the former kindergarten museum established in one of its buildings.
The stage ends at Tordas, where Sajnovics Castle stands idle.

This stage of the Sultans Trail requires standard long-distance hiking equipment. Weather protection is essential, including rain and cold gear, depending on the season. In late spring and early summer, mosquito deterrents are strongly recommended, while during the hot season, sun protection and a sufficient water supply are essential.
