The short, easy distances of the Téli Tihany performance routes also offer plenty of wonderful panoramas and exciting discoveries. We cross the geyser field, then walking along the shore of the Inner Lake, we can take beautiful photos of the abbey's towers - visible almost from everywhere - with the village houses and the lake in the foreground.
From the rocky edges of Kis-erdő-tető, we can simultaneously see the reed-fringed surface of the Outer Lake, behind it the Balaton with the Füredi Bay, and the Watchtower lookout standing on Apáti Hill. Along the rampart of the former earthwork fortress, we reach the Barátlakások which remain to us from the 11th century, but we also don't miss the Tihany Calvary. Passing by the abbey, we return to the start/finish location.

Author’s recommendation
- There is no natural water intake on the route, so keep this in mind and bring water, even in winter.
- At the Aranyház geyser cone, with a 300-meter round trip detour on the S+ sign, we reach the Hármashegyi cone, from where we get an even fuller panorama and don't have to queue at the top of the rock.
- Arriving at the foot of the Calvary, we can try the famous Tihany echo with a minimal detour - it works better in winter!
- With children, it is definitely worth going to the Lavender House near the start/finish location!
- After the route, it is worthwhile to go back to the nearby abbey and stroll along the Pisky promenade.
