Zebegénytől délkeletre, a Bodzás-völgy és a Kút-völgy metszéspontjában találjuk a Szent Mihály-hegy tömbjének egyetlen forrását. Az Ernő-forrás lassan, de biztosan tölti meg friss vízzel kulacsainkat – s míg erre várunk, a mellette kialakított padokon meg is pihenhetünk.
A völgyben vezető S● jelzésről jól látszik a forrás melletti tűzrakó hely és pihenőpad. Az időszakos Ernő-patak vízmosását keresztezve el is jutunk a két kifolyóval rendelkező forráshoz – jellemzően az alsóból tudunk vizet vételezni. Az igényes foglalatot az 1970-es években készítette a helyi állami erdőgazdaság, miután a Börzsönyt hivatalosan Budapest üdülőterületévé nyilvánították, így elősegítvén a turisztikai célú fejlesztéseket.
A forrás mellett állt a 2009-ben elhunyt dr. Gánti Tibor természettudós kopjafája. Neki állít emléket a Nagymarosra néző Gánti-pihenő is.
