Ebből 70 hektár körül jár a 150 évnél idősebb állományok összterülete, amelyek inkább a belső, magasabb fekvésű részeken találhatók, több darabban, egészen Zebegényig.

A talajvédelem szempontjából fontos, gazdasági szempontból csekély értékű erdőkben nincs faanyagtermelés. A Duna–Ipoly Nemzeti Park egyik tervezett magterülete a Börzsönyben.

Készült a LIFE4OakForests (LIFE16 NAT/IT/000245) projekt keretében az Európai Unió LIFE programjának támogatásával, az Agrárminisztérium társfinanszírozásával.

Directions

  • Nagymaros vasútállomásáról a S jelzésen kell elindulni, ez felvezet a hegycsúcsra (3,3 km, 355 m szintemelkedés).
  • A Nagymaros-Visegrád vasúti megállótól a legrövidebb út a K jelzésen vezet a hegytetőre. A csúcspontot fönt balra, a S jelzésre fordulva érhetjük el (3,6 km, 357 m szintemelkedés).
  • Zebegény vasútállomásáról a S jelzésen érhetjük el a hegycsúcsot (4,5 km, 401 m szintemelkedés).
  • Ha sikerül a nagymarosi Szamaras utca végén parkolóhelyet találni, innen a S jelzés vezet fel a hegycsúcsra (1,5 km, 182 m szintemelkedés).

Parking

  • Ha autóval minél közelebb szeretnénk jutni az öreg erdőkhöz, a nagymarosi Szamaras utca felső szakaszán érdemes parkolnunk, de itt nincs sok parkolóhely.
  • Nagymaroson a vasútállomás környékén érdemes parkolni.
  • Zebegényben a vasútállomás mellett parkolhatunk.
