A pleasant, family-friendly beach with convenient access and changing rooms. It also provides a shelter with a fireplace/barbecue area, making it a great spot for children to play and enjoy volleyball. Hol Beach offers warmer conditions compared to Geilo Beach and includes toilet facilities and parking.
If you're seeking a spot to relax in your hammock, Hol Beach is definitely the right destination. The water is slightly warmer than in Geilo, with fewer tourists and more locals, offering a splendid view across the lake to the farms on the mountainside.
There's a delightful 12 km round tour around the entire lake, perfect for biking or walking. At the opposite end of the lake, you'll arrive at the 'energy stairs' near the ice skating rink. Climb up and enjoy the view.
From April 15th to September 15th, campfires are prohibited in Norwegian forests.
