Útleírás
The Gams hiking trail starts in the centre of Kobarid, at the car park of the cultural centre "Kulturni dom".
The trail begins in a southerly direction, where a sign welcomes you on Mučeniška Street, indicating the Gams circular trail. Continue walking between the houses, along the edge of the Kobarid mud and along the Idrija River, where you can admire the untouched nature of the area (Natura 2000). When you reach the asphalt road leading to the village of Svino, turn onto it, walk along it for 50 m and then turn off at the signpost to the Svino waterfall. From the waterfall, continue towards Svino. When you reach the village, turn onto the forest path to Mlinsko. Follow the signs all the way. After about a kilometre, turn off the wider forest path onto a narrow path that drops steeply to the Idijca riverbed. After crossing a bridge, you will reach the place where there were once three large mills and later the first hydroelectric power plant in Kobarice.
Continue north and turn into the "Brdo" to the Idrija River, where you can see the remains of one of Kobariškės oldest churches - the Church of St. Tomaž. Next to the church there is a spring with drinking water that only runs dry in very severe droughts. Visitors can fill their bottles with refreshing water and take a short rest or walk back to the centre of Kobarid.
