EBike 2-day tour: Lyonshall to Hay - White Heron Meander

This special route guides cyclists through remote and charming sites - tiny villages and ancient, humble churches. The star of the route though, is undoubtedly the Borders landscape with its panoramic views from Hergest Ridge to the Brecon Beacons, the Malvern Hills and the Long Mynd.  THe Ridge is crossed via a grassy bridleway before descending a stony track into the village of Gladestry and then upwards to Colva. Another important presence is the River Arrow which cyclists encounter several times en route - as the road ascends almost to the source its tributaries, which we criss cross via tiny bridges. Hay-on-Wye awaits at the end of this first day, with its eccentricities and fascinating specialist shops, buildings and hostelries. A wonderful place to stay the night!
