Flow combined with some switchbacks.
Start the tour in Bad Ragaz. You can shuttle most of the uphill with the public bus to St Margrethenberg. Check: www.postauto.ch for timetale and reservations.
Follow the road to Pfäfers and St Margrethenberg, the last part is a little steep. Continue through the farms and up the farm road until it becomes a singletrail. Shortly after you will have to push or carry your bike for a few meters. It´s not a long distance and the descent is worth it. At Alp Maton (food an drinks available in July and August) you are up and can relax.
The downhill is fun and takes you through the forest with some roots and switchbacks, it is suitable for intermediate riders. Once you get to the uphill road roll down to "Jägeri", there is a nice little spot for food and drinks too. The following trail has a similar character to the previous one, mostly "blue". Some rocks are added to the mix and one or two tighter switchbacks can be found. The rest is fast and easy. The final section at "Saga" is a little hidden on the court of the sawmill.
