A great feature of this hiking route in Brno is that it is easily reacheable by public transportation as well as passes through amazing views of Brno city and it's districts full of forests that are perfectly suitable for hiking adventures with marked touristic trails. It is up to you whether you start in Štyrice district or in Bystrc district, the elevation change is similar both ways, but if you start in Štyrice, you will have a little bit more of uphill hiking. You should take some snacks with you, because the hike will take about 4-5 hours and there is no opportunity to buy on-the-road, since it crosses the forested districts of Brno.

The hike starts at the tram-stop called "Nemocnice Milosrdných bratří". Trams nr. 8, 6, 2 and x14 (until 31.8.2018) stop there, so it is easily reacheable from the main train station or Česka stop. You can also start your hike from the other end, as it is non-roundtrip. If you want to start from the other end, take bus nr. 30 to its last bus-stop, called "Černého". Bus nr. 30 goes between Kralovo Pole nadraži and Bystrc, so check the www.idos.cz for the right connection from your home and change to nr. 30 on the way.
