The third and last part takes hikers on a 14km route from Sougia to Paleochora, with open views trowards the sea, while passing by the Antiquities of Lissos, along the E4 trail.
Starting at Sougia, the third and last part of the Archaeological route of Kantanos-Selino follows the southern coastline of Crete in order to reach Paleochora where the whole of the route comes to an end.
Starting from Sougia the route follows initially a coastline trail before entering a small gorge in order to ascend to the Archaeological Site of Lissos. From there a descent takes hiker again by the Libyan Sea. At km 10 the route reaches the end of the Gorge of Anydroi. Beyond that point the route continues its coastal way towards Paleochora follwoing the first 4 kms of day 1 in reverse.

Take only memories, leave only footprints. Ants and other insects or animals have not yet discovered how to consume plastic. Take all rubbish back with you.
Don’t start a fire if you feel cold. Try walking faster.
Smoking on the trail will not help in anything. Neither you, nor the risk of fire.
Local people are not a tourist sight! If you want to take a picture, kindly ask. They will certainly smile to you!
If you find a door on the trail, pass freely, and leave it as you found it.
Stay on the trail. There is a reason why for many centuries people chose to walk on them and not elsewhere.
