Chania Trails - KAS 06 - The Byzantine chapels of Kantanos (K1)

This circular route guides the visitors of Kantanos between the Byzantine churches of the area and the natural beauties of the place with a minimum degree of difficulty.
In the wider area of Kantanos and the surrounding settlements (Trachiniakos, Plemeniana, Anisaraki, etc.) there are scattered many Byzantine churches, some of which have very impressive frescoes and structures. This route unites many of these small churches, through easy-to-walk routes, which also combine points of naturalistic interest (such as centennial olive trees or ravines). The route is easy, circular and can be walked in two smaller sections.
