This circular route connects the settlements of Sougia and Kamaria, through the trails of shepherds who used to traverse the stony passages of this place. This is a relatively difficult route.
This route is probably the most difficult of the network as it is long and quite steep. It is a uniquely beautiful crossing of a ridge, which has the Libyan Sea on one side and the Lefka Ori (meaning White Mountains) on the other. It is a hiking proposal for the more experienced hiker, who wants to get to know the genuine Cretan landscape, see endless views and walk along old paths, as shepherds used to do. In its second part, the route connects Kamaria with Sougia, through an old path that crosses a ravine, with an impressive view, thus creating a contrast between the ravine and the ridge.

Take only memories, leave only footprints. Ants and other insects or animals have not yet discovered how to consume plastic. Take all rubbish back with you.
Don’t start a fire if you feel cold. Try walking faster.
Smoking on the trail will not help in anything. Neither you, nor the risk of fire.
Local people are not a tourist sight! If you want to take a picture, kindly ask. They will certainly smile to you!
If you find a door on the trail, pass freely, and leave it as you found it.
Stay on the trail. There is a reason why for many centuries people chose to walk on them and not elsewhere.
