Portugal Wildscapes
O Projecto Portugal Wildscapes é um projecto turístico com um impacto positivo nos ecossistemas do Baixo Alentejo e nas comunidades locais. Através de uma iniciativa pioneira em Portugal, uma percentagem dos produtos vendidos pelos parceiros é destinada ao Fundo de Conservação Portugal Wildscapes para investir em projectos de conservação, salvaguarda de espécies e melhoria de habitats do baixo Alentejo.
A entidade gestora do projecto é a Portugal Secret Nature – Associação de Turismo e Conservação da Natureza, uma organização sem fins lucrativos, fundada em Almodôvar a Janeiro de 2020, com o objectivo de promover o turismo ativo responsável e contribuir para a conservação da natureza no baixo Alentejo. A rede de associados inclui empresas vinculadas ao turismo e entidades governamentais, permitindo uma aliança estratégica entre o sector público e privado.
Para dinamizar o turismo de natureza na região, a Associação investe na melhoria da infraestrutura de visitação e presta apoio técnico às empresas associadas para o desenvolvimento de novos produtos turísticos. São dinamizadas ações de formação e capacitação para dotar os operadores com as ferramentas necessárias, de forma a garantir experiências turísticas de excelência. Para promover a adoção de medidas de sustentabilidade, os associados comprometem-se a implementar os princípios enunciados na Carta de Compromisso.
A Portugal Secret Nature ambiciona ser um exemplo nacional e internacional de conciliação entre o turismo de natureza e conservação da natureza.
