Because Harghita Mădăraş resort is more difficult to reach, being near the top of the mountain, it is preferred more by those who want to spend more days skiing and less by those looking for a day trip on the mountain. For this reason, most of the time the slopes are not crowded with impact on the (short) waiting time at the ski lifts.
From the top of the mountain we have an extraordinary view over the depression: during the beautiful weather we can see almost all the Transylvanian depression, Fagaras Mountains, Piatra Craiului.
