The Bač Hammam, built around 1529, reflects this Ottoman urban life. The bath complex originally consisted of six functional rooms, typical of Ottoman bathing culture:
- a servants’ room
- a fountain area
- a waiting room
- a steam bath (halva)
- a water tank (hazna)
- a storeroom (djulhan)
Today, portions of the walls and structural layout remain visible, offering a rare archaeological glimpse into Ottoman architecture in the region. Particularly interesting are the clay pipes used for distributing hot and cold water, which can still be seen in parts of the structure. These early heating and water systems were an essential part of the sophisticated engineering behind Ottoman bathhouses.
The ruins stand as the only surviving Ottoman architectural monument in Vojvodina, making the site historically important for understanding the Ottoman presence along the Danube River Basin.
