Tanzbödeli ("little dance floor") is a beautiful meadow high on a ridge. It's a scenic detour on the route from Obersteinberg or Tschingelhorn to Mürren, and promises unforgettable 360 degree views on a clear day.
The trail is not for everyone... it's quite steep and is more like a trace of a trail for much of it, plus it is probably a 40-50 minute detour off the main route. But if you have a clear day and are not bothered by the steepness of the trail, you will definitely want to head up to Tanzbödeli.
This is an optional detour on any of our Bernese Oberland tours that visit Obersteinberg or Tschingelhorn, but it can also be visited on a dayhike from Mürren. This is one of those out-of-the-way places we love to introduce people to.
