A West to East trek from Yaiza to Orzola, this trek follows a varied and scenic route along the GR 131, the long-distance trail across the Canaries. From the lava fields of La Geria to the oasis of green at the valley of 1000 palms in Haria, this intriguing island has an infinite range of unique and dramatic landscapes.
 Discover the influence of the world-famous artist and architect Cesar Manrique who dedicated his life to preserving the traditional architecture of the island.  The typical whitewashed houses adorned with green painted doors are testament to his work.
  In recent years there has been an island-wide initiative to signpost walking trails and increase rural accommodation options in a bid to increase the number of independent travellers. We believe that the island is best explored on foot and have selected walks that encompass its diverse landscape along with high quality overnights in typical local accommodation.
