    Ein leicht zu gehender Weg, der im Abschnitt hinter dem Rheindamm zur Zeit sehr matschig ist, wenn man durchs Feld geht. Die Einkehr in der "Verlängerung" (ehemaliges Vereinsheim des FC Leimersheim) ist sehr zu empfehlen: Wir wurden sehr herzlich empfangen. Ansonsten ist es ein schöner Spaziergang: Sowohl am Rhein entlang als auch durch die Rheinauen. Schönster Abschnitt war für uns der Uferpfad "Am Fischmal".

    Bin die Tour heute umgekehrt gefahren. Auch schön. Schöne Mischung aus Radeln am direkt am Fluss und Rheinauen. Einkehr bei der Fähre Leimersheim. Im Biergarten der Insel Rott wäre es noch idyllischer gewesen und etwas näher am Endpunkt.

    Tolle Route, viele Reiher und riesige Fischer in dem See am Ende! unterwegs liegt ein Baum quer und es bleibt nur am Rand eine Durchfahrt. Dort ist das Wasser sehr flach, man kommt aber schnell wieder in tieferes Wasser. Kaum Strömung, auch für ungeübte gut fahrbar.

    Sehr schöne Radtour. Allerdings bleibt für Besichtigungen oder längere Stopps nicht viel Zeit. Wir haben 7 Stunden reine Fahrzeit benötigt. Falls ich diese Runde noch mal mache, dann im Uhrzeigersinn. Dann liegt die Knittelsbacher Mühle als Einkehrmöglichkeit fast am Ende der Tour. Die Beschilderung des Radweges war gut; ab Kandel jedoch vermisst man die bisher einheitliche Beschilderung - die Schilder für den Südpfalzradweg sind oft gut versteckt (-> nur 4 Punkte).

    bei tollem Frühlingswetter ist dieser 'Weg ein Genuss. Tipp: am Dammweg undeidngt über die Dammkrone ins Rheinvorgelände schauen - hier eröffnet sich eine einzigartige Tier- und Pflanzenwelt!! Das Anglerheim ist auf alle Fälle eine Rast wert (mit tollem Biergarten) und der Anlegestelle des "Römerschiffs Lusoria Rhenana" ! - für den sommer ist die Tour weniger geeignet, da viel freie Fläche. Aber im Herbst kommen wir wieder!
