Grimma mill trail

Path of the mills.

The tour starts at the market square with a view of the historic town hall. Pass the town hall gallery on the left and turn left into Brückenstraße. At the end of the street, turn right towards Pöppelmannsche Steinbrücke and turn right before the bridge. Follow the path along the flood protection wall past the castle (now the district court), the former St. Augustin princely and state school (now the grammar school) and the monastery church. The large mill complex with the rye mill begins on the left after the flood gate.

Cross the suspension bridge over the Rabenstein to the Höfgen ship mill. The Höfgen mill triangle is home to the ship mill, the water mill and the Schkorditz Paltrock windmill. Via Grechwitz and past Döben Castle, via Bahren along the Mulde cycle path, you reach the Grimma ground mill. From there, you cycle past Grimma Castle back to the starting point of the tour.
