Pilis Bike Kesztölc family route (INFO Piliscsév, railway station)
Kesztölc and Piliscsév are neighboring settlements, both located at the foot of the Pilis, along with its wonderful view. Our short route can be undertaken by anyone without serious preparation or fitness, even children.
Due to its length, do not expect too many sights, but the limestone cliffs of the Pilis will provide spectacular scenery for our cycling.

Description:
Piliscsév - Kesztölc (PB12)
- Terrain: asphalt, gravel road
Starting from the railway, we approach the town on the bike path running parallel to the main road, then after the path ends, we return to the road with increased attention. We cycle following the curve of the main street that forms the backbone of the village, and at the far end we continue straight on the gravel dozer road.
After a few kilometers, on the right side appears the Statue of Saint Wendelin between the dozer road and the field. Interestingly, the area was already inhabited in Roman times; a Roman milestone found during plowing serves as the base of the statue.
We find ourselves on a straight, gravel dozer road, bordered by arable land and pastures on the sides, while mountains surround us from all directions in the background. We cycle straight along the field for a very long time, with the only task being to avoid smaller and larger holes. Upon reaching the border of Kesztölc, we turn right onto the asphalt road, then after a few minutes of cycling we reach the center, which is the farthest point of the route.
Kesztölc - Piliscsév (PB12)
- Terrain: asphalt, gravel road
Starting back from the parking lot, we pedal a few times westward, then carefully turn left onto Szent István Street. We cycle all the way to the edge of the settlement, then immediately after the last house we turn left again.
We cycle on the already familiar straight road towards Piliscsév. The only difference is that the Pilis now overlooks us from our left side.
As is often the case in the area, we also reach the settlement here along a horse farm, then cycle along the main street. At the far end, watch out for the no bicycle entry sign blocking our way. Here we turn off to the bike path running parallel to the road, and after a few hundred meters we reach our endpoint, the Piliscsév railway station.
