Pilis Bike Csévi family route (Kesztölc, Erika café park and ride)
Author’s recommendation
- The name Erika is popular in Kesztölc. Do not confuse the starting point with the Erika confectionery located in the settlement; we are looking for the Erika café.

Description:
Kesztölc - Piliscsév (PB12)
- Terrain: asphalt, gravel road
Starting from the parking lot, we pedal a few times westward, then carefully turn left onto Szent István Street. Here we cycle all the way to the edge of the settlement, then immediately turn left again after the last house. We find ourselves on a straight, gravel grader road, bordered by plowed fields and pastures on the side, while hills surround us from every direction in the background.
We cycle straight along the field for a very long time, our only task is to avoid smaller and larger potholes. After covering a few kilometers, the statue of Saint Vendel on the left indicates that the border of Piliscsév is approaching. Interestingly, the area was already inhabited in Roman times, and a Roman milestone found during plowing forms the base of the statue.
As often occurs in the area, we enter the settlement along a horse ranch, then cycle along the main street. At the far end, watch out for a no entry sign for bicycles blocking our way. Here we turn off onto the bike path running parallel to the road, and after a few hundred meters, we reach our final destination, the Piliscsév railway station.
Public transport
- The settlement of Kesztölc is not served by a railway line, so it cannot be accessed by public transport that allows carrying bikes. If you must rely on the train, Piliscsév railway station may be the solution.
