The Nature Friends Austria, with around 160,000 members, are one of the largest and most significant leisure and nature conservation organizations in the country. With 460 local groups, nine regional organizations, 9,500 trainers, instructors, officials, and employees who contribute around 2 million volunteer hours annually, 140 huts and houses, approximately 7,500 km of hiking trails, 100 climbing and bouldering gyms, and a white-water competence center, the association presents itself as a modern leisure partner.
