Take the Goldeck cable car from Spittal an der Drau (free with the Carinthia Powercard) up to the middle station. From there, head south along a forest road with moderate incline and wonderful panoramic views over Upper Carinthia to the top station of the Goldeck cable car. If you are already tired here and want to skip the more beautiful part of the route, you can take the cable car back down to the valley. Everyone else hikes over the summit of Goldeck on a path past the Goldeck hut to the middle station to take the cable car down again. The second section usually offers an overwhelming alpine rose bloom in June that you shouldn't miss.
