A falu a 18. század elején, valószínűleg a sikertelen osztrák ostrom után néptelenedett el, amikor lakói Diszelbe költöztek. Víz hiányában, viszonylag magasan nem csoda, hogy később sem települt újjá.
Az egyhajós, félköríves szentélyű templom a 13. században épülhetett, déli falán félköríves ablakokat látni, a bejárat a nyugati oldalon volt.
Miután a falu elnéptelenedett, a házak helyét a szőlők vették át, és a helyi gazdák gazdasági épületként is használták a régi templomot. Az 1950-es években akkori tulajdonosa borospincét épített bele.
A növényzettel sűrűn benőtt, fedetlen rom a csobánci várhoz felvezető út mellett áll. Gyulakeszi felől érkezve itt kell átváltani az Országos Kéktúra hegytetőre vezető ösvényére.

- A buszmegállóból a templom melletti Jókai utcán induljunk el a hegy felé. A parkolótól a Z jelzés vezet el a templomromhoz (1,9 km, 119 m szintemelkedés).
