A műemléki védettségű, téglalap alaprajzú, félköríves szentélyzáródású Szent Donát-kápolnát egy korábban itt álló épület helyén emelték 1830 körül. A szőlőhegyi kápolnákat gyakran Szent Donát, a 4. században élt püspök kegyelmébe ajánlották, a legenda szerint ugyanis ő megvédi a termést a természeti károktól, különösen a villámcsapástól és jégesőtől.
A kápolna környékéről páratlanul szép kilátás nyílik a Tapolcai-medence tanúhegyeire: a nem is olyan távolban emelkedő Gulács és Tóti jellegzetes kúpjaira, valamint a Badacsony és a Szent György-hegy lapos platóira. Köztük szinte eltörpül a szigligeti Vár-hegy. Ha szemben állunk a kápolnával, a Csobánc várrommal díszített platójára nézhetünk fel, egyedi hátteret adva az épületnek.
A műemlék mögött egy igazi különlegességet találunk: egy jó vizű, kb. 26 méter mély kerekes kutat, amelyből pótolhatjuk vízkészletünket. Tavasszal vidám színben pompázik az épület mögött virágzó mandulafa.

- Tömegközlekedéssel a legközelebb a helyközi buszok Gyulakeszi, szőlőhegy megállója esik.

- A buszmegállóból a feszület melletti úton induljunk a Csobánc felé. Elhaladunk a Villa Tolnay mellett, és hamarosan elérünk a kápolnához (900 m).
- A parkolóból induljunk el a hegy felé a Z jelzésen, majd a "pléhkrisztusnál" forduljunk jobbra. A Zᵯ jelzés vezet a kápolnához (1 km).

- A Gyulakesziből kivezető Jókai utca végén, földúton találjuk a Csobánc parkolóját.
