A szőlőhegyi kápolnák a sokszínű Balaton-felvidék jellegzetes tájképi elemei. A többnyire hegy- vagy domboldalban álló, kis kápolnákat a helyi szőlősgazdák, a „hegyi emberek” építtették, és a szőlő, a bor védelmében vagy az ezekre leselkedő veszély ellen fellépő szentek nevére keresztelték. Ez alól pont kivétel a Káptalantóti közelében álló Bács-hegyi kápolna, amelyet Szűz Mária nevenapjára szenteltek fel. A ma már csak a dűlő nevében továbbélő Bács középkori faluról a törökdúláság vannak adataink, utána valószínűleg nem épült újjá, a visszatérő lakosok máshol telepedtek le.
A kápolnát 1774-ben Paraicz Ferenc pápai lakos és Bács-hegyi szőlőbirtokos más gazdákkal együtt építtette. Az egyszerű szerkezetű, félköríves szentályzáródású, ívelt oromzatú épület belülről is puritán berendezésű, évente kétszer tartanak benne misét.
A kápolna melletti kis tisztásról a szőlőkön túl a Tapolcai-medence híres tanúhegyei sorakoznak a láthatáron: a Tóti-hegy és a Gulács közt a Szent György-hegy lapos teteje emelkedik ki, míg a háttérben a Szigligeti vár is kivehető.

- A helyközi buszjáratokról a Káptalantóti, Bácshegy megállónál szálljunk le.

- A buszmegállóból induljunk a Liliomkert piac felé, majd az azzal szemben induló, Csobánc felé vezető úton (K jelzés) menjünk tovább. Az első dűlőúton forduljunk jobbra, aztán a kőkeresztnél balra. Egy löszmélyúton jutunk a kápolnához (3,3 km).
Parking
- A Liliomkert piac parkolójában hagyhatjuk az autónkat, bár ha bevállaljuk a rossz minőségű földutat, száraz időben egészen a kápolnáig felhajthatunk vele.
