A megállóhely a börzsönyi erdők mélyén, a Márianosztrát Nagyirtáspusztával összekötő leglátványosabb szakasz közelében található. Érdekessége, hogy a peron nem közvetlenül a napi forgalomban rendszeresen használt vaspálya mellett, hanem egy csonkavágány mellett helyezkedik el, azaz a szerelvényeknek be- illetve ki kell tolatniuk, ha van fel- vagy leszálló utas a feltételes megállóhelyen.
